Weekend Reading: 2023: Fourth Turning Meets Mass Formation Psychosis (Review)

Earlier this week I stumbled across an article from American Jim Quinn, one of my favorite authors (if not the most favorite) I’ve been following for years.
As far back as four years ago, I use to review his masterpiece articles when I was a blogger. Now that I have shifted my writing strengths into the realm of freelance/independent journalism and am starting to amass a group of curious followers who yearn for truth and understanding in this crazed world, I must share with you this very gifted author.
On a personal note, Jim Quinn was kind enough to re-publish my article Why society needs Conspiracy Theories & Conspiracy Theorists on his treasure trove of a platform that goes by the name The Burning Platform.
I invite the reader, you, to regularly visit his website to find many more masterpieces, some which have yet to be written.
But for now, I strongly recommend his most recent article titled 2023: Fourth Turning Meets Mass Formation Psychosis (Part 1) which has been published on ZeroHedge as well as on his website.
Jim Quinn tends to write thorough and lengthy pieces, similar to what I do (I surely have been influenced by his style). And even though this piece is a bit lengthy, and will also be soon followed by a “Part 2”, I strongly recommend that you read it in its entirety.
In this review post, I will highlight some of my favorite parts, for they provide much needed clarity as to what the hell has been going on since the onset of the Covid-19 “Pandemic” and in recent years in general.
So, here we go.
Before delving in to the beef of the article, we must first consider its title with “The Fourth Turning” and “Mass Formation Psychosis,” for these are central to the piece.
The Fourth Turning refers to a book that was written a few decades ago by authors William Strauss and Neil Howe which demonstrates how modern history moves in cycles (each one lasting about one generation) with each one being composed of four eras, or “turnings”. These four can be summarised as follows:
Expansion: a period of confident expansion as a new order takes root after the old has been swept away;
Awakening: a time of spiritual exploration and rebellion against the now-established order;
Unraveling: an increasingly troubled era in which individualism triumphs over crumbling institutions;
Crisis (the Fourth Turning): when society passes through a great and perilous gate in history.
We have seen these cycles and turnings many times in history – whether it be with the Renaissance and Enlightenment periods, or with WWII. For instance, the U.S. Civil War and the end of the Second World War were fourth turnings upon which radical societal transformations took root.
With the current state of the world, particularly with the ending of the credit cycle and the orgy of 70+ years of monetary debasement through fiat currencies (especially since Nixon took the U.S. dollar off its international gold standard), we are arriving to this next fourth turning. It has been unraveling before our very eyes in the past several years; we have just been too busy and distracted to notice.
The next key concept found in the title, Mass Formation Psychosis, was recently touched upon during the Covid-19 Scamdemic (let’s call if for what it has really been all along) when the highly intelligent and highly-gifted Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of mRNA technology (you know, the same technology that has been used in the doses of “vaccines” that were administered to billions of unsuspecting and all-to-obliging souls), claimed that the masses were under a great spell for having fallen for the illusion that these so-called vaccines which served as a panacea and “cure all, end all” to the ills of the super virus.
For a lighter, more amusing take on Mass Formation Psychosis, JP Reacts, a YouTuber with over 2.75 million followers, produced a funny video outlining the conditions, or symptoms, of this phenomenon.
I chose the meme image for this post which perfectly summarises this mass psychosis, as it posits “IMAGINE A VIRUS SO DEADLY…YOU CANNOT TELL IF YOU HAVE IT WITHOUT A “TEST”” Ponder that for a second.
The simplicity of that statement should speak volumes, especially since this so-called super-virus has a more than 99.9% survival rate, and yet had the world paralysed in fear for nearly two years. Tragically, the masses have indeed been duped beyond belief whether they like to admit it (setting their egos aside) or not.
With those two concepts covered, let us dive in to the heart of Quinn’s superb article. I will bold certain parts and include additional links for relevance.
“I recently finished reading Mattias Desmet’s [a professor of clinical psychology at Ghent University (Belgium) and a practicing psychoanalytic psychotherapist] fascinating and illuminating book The Psychology of Totalitarianism, where he examines the mass formation psychosis which swept over the world during the time frame of early 2020 until present day. He explores some of the root causes of this psychological phenomena, comparing it to previous episodes in history, and delving into whether it occurred naturally or was purposely generated in order to implement a Great Reset agenda.”
“It is clear to me aspects of mass formation psychosis played a part in the previous two Fourth Turnings, as both sides in the U.S. Civil War displayed characteristics of those being hypnotized by a narrative, and the German people falling under the spell of Hitler and his rhetorical skills.”
“As the potentially historic year 2023 unfolds before us, we are confronted with a world drowning in unpayable debt; a global recession/depression imminent; raging inflation at twice the level reported by our overlords; real unemployment at four times the level reported by the government apparatchiks; a government completely devoid of honesty, integrity or responsibility to its citizens; a society dictated by corruption, materialism, narcissism, and bereft of civic and personal responsibility; globalist billionaires and their captured organizations (WEF, WHO, NATO, CDC, FDA, FBI, CIA, DOJ, IRS) actively trying to rule the world through technological and biological means; and insane politicians, generals, and bureaucrats pushing the world towards WWIII, using Ukraine and Taiwan as their trigger points.”
There should be little doubt that the institutions Quinn mentions – the WEF, WHO (World Health Organization), NATO, CDC, and others) are mostly corrupt and do not have the best of intentions for the masses. Rather, they are more interested in their self-aggrandisement to consolidate ever increasing amounts of power and authority over you and me.
Quinn also employes the phrase “insane politicians” which there has certainly been no shortage of in the past two years (and the past two thousand years, for that matter).
The United States of America is run by a senile, demented, and decades-long corrupt pedophilic politician named Creepy Joe Biden who is hell bent on destroying this constitutional republic in order to hand it over to the aforementioned traitors.
Here in Canada, there has never been a more divisive and insane politician than what we have witnessed from our Prime Minister Justin Trudeau (who is 100% surely not Fidel Castro’s son). His invocation of the Emergencies Act to quash protesters was a clear abuse of power and display of psychotic narcissism. While there would be many more to mention, Chrystia Freeland has also displayed countless instances of insanity, with one of the prime examples being abusing her power as Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister her personal nepotistic quest to save her motherland, the Ukraine no matter the cost to her taxpayers.
In tandem, both of these egotistically demented despots unashamedly had the bank accounts frozen of those who organised or even donated the Truckers Convoy. This was a clear and undeniable display of totalitarian madness which completely usurped the rule of law in this supposed democratic nation. They are most likely the same bad actors behind the recent freezing of a political dissident’s bank account. And where this tyranny will end, no one knows.

Climate imbeciles want to ban your gas stove, make you eat bugs, and never venture more than 15 minutes from your hovel. It’s an endless show and we are both the spectators and victims. The daily distractions of life, along with trivialities like social media, sporting events, mass media propaganda, and this government shitshow, keep the masses from seeing the danger dead ahead.”

As a skeptical, cynical old bastard myself, this passage strikes to the heart of the matter for me. For, to this day, I remain baffled as to how the majority are still in a deep sleep, unable or unwilling to realise and admit what is really taking place and to embrace the courage to no longer stand for it.
“The rise of the administrative state where hard fulfilling jobs (farmers, craftsmen, builders) have been replaced by finance and administrative paper pushing jobs where human interaction is drastically reduced and their worlds revolve around rules, regulations, and impersonal dogma, has created tens of millions of depressed, anxious, neurotic people seeking something to make their pitiful lives worthwhile.”
Dr. Jordan Peterson has extensively covered this troubling reality in many of his talks.
It is so true. Look around you. How many of your friends and family members enjoy fulfilling jobs whereby they are not cogs in the wheels of profits for their employers? Do they work to live, or live to work?
“As work became nothing more than a means to earn wages, in order to consume and amuse themselves, the rise of mass media has further contributed to the decline in sincere social connections, as TV and the internet have further isolated millions and allowed those constituting the invisible government to propagandize whatever narrative suits their malevolent purposes.”

Fear is the basis for the mass formation psychosis currently consuming the world.”

“All that was needed was a virus with a scary name, a billion-dollar marketing campaign, a narrative spun by a well-compensated media, corrupt politicians and Deep State actors seeking to depose a president, and a plethora of unethical “experts” willing to sell their souls to Big Pharma. Once the covid narrative was connected to their free-floating anxiety a global swindle was born.”
“Fear and anxiety are the lifeblood of a mass hysteria event. An already psychologically damaged populace was primed to react insanely to an entirely overblown “crisis”, spurred on by bad actors who sought riches, notoriety, acclaim, and the ability to impose authoritarian measures on the masses as proof of their power and supremacy.”
Two such actors in particular come to mind, namely Jacinda Arden, and Justin Trudeau – two subservient WEF soldiers who rampageously abused their power to trample upon their citizens rights.
Never forget what these people are directly responsible for, folks.

Approximately 30% of people are completely hypnotized, with 40% to 60% not hypnotized but choosing to go along with the crowd, and a minority of 10% to 30% who resist the narrative and actively push back.”
Those figures sound about right to me.
“Considering only 30% of the adult population didn’t let themselves be injected with the untested, experimental, Big Pharma enriching gene therapy, which was guaranteed to keep you from catching covid according to Fauci, Walensky, Biden and numerous other “experts”, it seems like Desmet’s estimates are pretty accurate. Only 10% have been vocal dissenters. These were the people fired from their jobs, censored on social media, and canceled by friends and family. The mass formation A team were the 30% posting selfies of themselves with masks, shields, vaccine cards, and any other virtue signaling BS showing they were part of the cult, saving the world from this evil virus.”
“They were also the Karens berating the unmasked, screaming at people closer than six feet, turning in neighbors for breaking the rules, and wishing death upon all the unvaxxed. The cowardice of middle 40% has been the most disappointing aspect of this overhyped flu faux pandemic, as they dutifully submitted to the whims of the cultists – wearing their masks, locking down, avoiding human contact, obeying the totalitarian dictates of politicians, believing absurdities spouted by blustering bureaucrats, complying with un-Constitutional mandates, and sheepishly lining up for jabs that didn’t keep them from catching covid, spreading covid, being hospitalized with covid, or dying from covid. These sheepish followers are the pitiful descendants of the German prison guards who claimed they were only following orders during WWII.”
I think these passages brilliantly summarise the covidian cult, Mass Formation Psychosis phenomenon that has been occurring in the past two years amidst this Fourth Turning that the same masses seem to be oblivious to.
Hopefully, the masses will start to regain their God-given senses and reasoning abilities.
