CBDC: The most Totalitarian Control System in Human History, – Banking Professor

Just a quick post to share a very insightful and well-articulated take on CBDCs.

Following a prior cross-post recommendation on an excellent primer on CBDCs by author Iain Davis, this particular interview from Kitco News with guest Richard Werner, Professor of Banking at the University of Winchester is stellar.

Though university professors tend to use extravagant language which often leaves laymen dazed and confused, Prof. Werner is quite gifted in his ability to break down a complex topic like Central Bank Digital Currencies, CBDCs, and make it simple to fully grasp.

The interview begins with the guest explaining an often overlooked aspect of CBDCs, namely the “C” component that makes up the notorious acronym. The “C” stands for “Central” and Werner hits a home run when answering the first question from the Kitco host, Michelle Makori.

Michelle Makori, who is Kitco’s editor-in-chief and lead anchor, is an excellent interviewer who asks precision-crafted pertinently crucial questions. The combination of an expert on the subject coupled with a gifted interviewer renders outstanding results, as can be witnessed in the exchange.  

This author highly recommends that the video interview be watched in its entirety, for it covers the most important aspects and implications CBDCs will have when they are deployed onto the unsuspecting masses.
