1. Introduction
As will be thoroughly demonstrated in this post, Canada has been duped and conned to an unfathomable extent, having become entangled in this folly that is the Russia-Ukraine War.
Entire pieces of Canadian legislation have been enacted by our foolish, ignorant, and self-serving politicians on the back of lies and deceptions perpetrated by conniving, war-mongering actors which are currently being weaponised and have already led to devastating consequences for the Ukraine, Europe as a whole, as well as our great nation.
Everything surrounding this war is not as it appears, and the masses – including our ignorant politicians – have been shrewdly duped and fooled into supporting it and further propagating the utter geopolitical mess that has resulted.
2. Canada’s Sanctions on Russia (Sergei Magnitsky Law) and its implications on private property ownership
Though legislation has already been passed (and amended) in Canada which set the legal provisions and means by which foreign officials and entities can be sanctioned, i.e., have their assets seized and forfeited, it will be demonstrated hereunder that these have been established based on lies that were further amplified by Canadian officials, including Chrystia Freeland, former Minister of Foreign Affairs and current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
On February 2nd, 2023, Canada, through its Governor General in Council on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Joly, imposed further sanctions against Russian individuals based merely on the “opinion” that these individuals had direct involvement in the country’s invasion of the Ukraine.
Canada has imposed various sanctions against Russia for what they deem was the country’s unprovoked and unjustified invasion of Ukraine.
The type of sanctions vary widely and range from “peddling misinformation and propaganda”, to human rights violations, and for being “elites and close associates of the regime”, though corroborating evidence is almost never provided in their sanction documents.
This month’s sanctions precede another notable one that occurred in December of last year whereby Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich had his assets seized under the same laws.
The key laws in question here include the Special Economic Measures Act (SEMA) created in 1992 and the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law) from 2017.
Though these laws have been around for a while, they are constantly amended and it is also worth noting that last year, Bill C-19, sponsored by Chrystia Freeland, was passed through both the House of Commons and the Senate which gave significant new powers to the aforementioned key laws.
In short, according to Fasken, a business and litigation law firm which has been operating in Canada since 1863, C-19’s amendments appear to be in direct response to Russia’s invasion of the Ukraine and aims to work with its allies to take steps to “find, restrain, freeze, seize, and, where appropriate, confiscate or forfeit the assets” of persons who have been sanctioned in connection with the invasion.”
The dangers, however, are basically twofold.
First, it creates a dangerous precedent for asset seizure and forfeiture regardless of the nationality of individuals or entities. In other words, anyone who is placed on a Sanctions List (for whatever reason deemed valid by the Governor in Council upon a government official’s recommendation) – even Canadians – could find their assets (cash, property, etc.) seized and forfeited (sold) with little legal recourse and due process.
When asked by a reporter about Bill C-19 and seizing and selling Russian assets, Canadian Justice Minister David Lametti stated the following which confirms this current predicament:
“You don't have an absolute right to own private property in Canada.”
Secondly, it is poised to act as a strong deterrent to foreign investment into Canada; for, companies may see it as political and economic risks should their home country or even their own corporate positions differ in their political stances than those of Canada and its major allies.
This very sentiment was also noted by Fasken:
“Consequently, acquiring companies and those seeking to enter joint ventures are on notice to have sanctions clarity on beneficial ownership of corporate targets or partners. Sanctions due diligence and risk arises not only regarding activities abroad, but to wholly domestic transactions involving foreign beneficiaries who have assets in Canada.”
3. Canada’s Sergei Magnitsky Law & the United States’ Magnitsky Act are based on lies
But perhaps what is most concerning about the Special Economic Measures Act (SEMA) and the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law) and related amendments are the lies and deceptions upon which they were devised.
More specifically, we need to look at the Sergei Magnitsky Law (Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act) that was passed in 2017.
What is most notable and telling is the name of the act itself – Sergei Magnitsky [Law].
Who was Sergei Magnitsky?
Sergei Magnitsky was a Ukrainian-born Russian tax advisor who was arrested and died in a prison in Russia under allegations of fraud.
Magnitsky is mostly remembered due to Bill (William) Browder, an American-born businessman and CEO of Hermitage Capital Management, who had hired him as a tax consultant for managing his business affairs in Russia.
It is important to note that Bill Browder lobbied American officials, including Senator John McCain, to pass the legislation which eventually became the Magnitsky Act of 2012.
In Canada, it was a Canadian senator of Ukrainian origin, Raynell Andreychuk, who introduced Senate Public Bill S-226 which eventually became the Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law), formally ’An Act to provide for the taking of restrictive measures in respect of foreign nationals responsible for gross violations of internationally recognized human rights and to make related amendments to the Special Economic Measures Act and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act’.

A November 2022 article by Canadian author Matthew Ehret titled The Lies of Bill Browder & the Magnitsky Hoax and accompanying interview with journalist Lucy Komisar provides overwhelming evidence surrounding the events that led to the passing of the Magnitsky laws. The article commences as follows [emphasis and links added]:
“In this Canadian Patriot Podcast, Matt Ehret speaks with renowned award winning journalist Lucy Komisar on her groundbreaking exposure of Bill Browder’s fraud in Russia and internationally, as well as the truth of the Magnitsky Hoax that underlies the virulent new technique of economic warfare that has been used to target “corrupt” politicians with a focus on taking down Russia’s leadership.”
To save the reader time from having to listen to the meticulously referenced details from the hour-long interview, here are some key highlights with links added to supporting evidence:
Komisar describes Bill Browder as “the world’s most brilliant con man.”
Browder was connected to a scam in which a Russian titanium company, AVISMA, was involved in an illicit transfer-pricing scheme via an Isle of Man shell company.
Browder illegally purchased millions of dollars worth of shares in Gazprom (not allowed to foreigners) through shell companies which lead to him and Sergei Magnitsky being investigated for related tax evasion upon which he was supposed to pay $40 million.
With the help of his accountant Magnitsky, Browder set up the Hermitage Fund which was involved in many illegal activities, including evading paying billions in taxes.
Komisar describes the “Browder-Magnitsky Hoax” as a first pillar of Russiagate (an elaborate scheme to discredit and vilify Vladimir Putin and the Russian federation).
Both Browder and Magnitsky were charged with tax evasion in Russia. Magnitsky was jailed, but Browder managed to flee the country. Had the due taxes been paid, Magnitsky would have been freed.
Komisar refers to the German documentary film The Magnitsky Act Behind the Scenes.
Komisar refers to three separate NGOs that observed prison conditions and Magnitysky himself. The first, by the Russian Public Oversight Commission for Human Rights Observance, found no proof of torture; the second, Physicians for Human Rights from Cambridge (Massachusetts) to which Browder had given documents (via Hermitage), issued a report which attested to no claims of beatings or torture; and the third, from the European Court of Human Rights, also didn’t back up Browder’s claims that Magnitsky had been tortured and beaten to death.
The above represents a very tiny summary of the wrongdoings and false claims Bill Browder has made on behalf of himself, his corporate interests in Russia, and regarding his Ukrainian-born Russian tax advisor Sergei Magnitsky.
Renowned journalist Lucy Komisar has extensively and meticulously investigated and documented Bill Browder’s countless crimes, lies and deceptions. Here are some key resources for the reader who wishes to assess the materials any further.

The following brief account by Lucy Komisar also provides a simplified summary about Bill Browder’s fraud and the purported basis upon which the Magnitsky Act was founded:
Of particular importance and relevance to Canada, Lucy Komisar re-posted an October 2022 letter by investigative journalist Adrian duPlessis, a veteran forensic investigator of corporate fraud and malfeasance, to the Toronto Chartered Financial Analysts Society regarding their guest, Bill Browder, to their 65th Annual Investment Dinner Sponsors.
The expert investigator is no amateur, as he outlines his credentials in a preface to his letter:
“For decades, teamed with accountants, lawyers, police, journalists, victims – I’ve done my best to track, expose and stop harms to individuals and society. Records of those cases in which I’ve been involved can be found ’round the globe in court registries and media archives such as those of: Canada Stockwatch, The Vancouver Sun, The Globe and Mail, The Financial Post, Equity, Macleans, BC Business, The Financial Times of Canada, CBC fifth estate, CTV W5, HVG, Time, Forbes, Barron’s, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, US News & World Report, Businessweek, ABC TV Primetime Live, The Observer (Guardian), The Economist, Channel Four Dispatches, BBC Panorama, ABC Radio Background Briefings and dozens+ more such sources.”
Adrian duPlessis is also an author and the recipient of a National Newspaper Award for his work with David Baines whilst at the Vancouver Sun.
The following passage regarding Bill Brower also prefaces his letter [with emphasis added]:
“The geopolitical racket which Browder and co. are in now can lead to terrible harm. If he was restricting himself to stealing money, evading taxes, and engaging solely in pecuniary crimes, much as I’d object to the corruption, it’s so much a feature of our society/culture, I’d not wade in to the fray. Manipulating our lawmakers, our press, interfering with governments, Interpol, stoking tensions between nuclear powers – yup, I’m back in.”
The outspoken former forensic investigator could not hold back when he heard that Bill Browder would be speaking before the CFA in Toronto.
The October 27, 2022 letter, addressed to the CFA Society Toronto brings to the attention of all concerned with the event with the subject ‘Re: 65th Annual Investment Dinner: “Geopolitical Risk with Acclaimed Author and Investor, Bill Browder’.
Without diving into the specifics of the letter, suffice it to say that duPlessis outlines and links to dozens of court documents and references that confirm the numerous misrepresentations of Bill Browser in his financial dealings in Russia and regarding his claims of torture directed towards his partner Sergei Magnitsky.
One such reference is that of Der Spegiel’s follow-up article retorting all of Browder’s false assertions. Another resource confirms his corruption with the aforementioned Avisma entity which Lucy Komisar had also outlined.
The list seems endless and also includes a resource, jaccuse.news, that outlines six pages packed with documents, videos, witness statements, news articles, and so on which further detail Mr. Browder’s extensive transgressions.
Adrian duPlessis ends the letter by showing the CFA/Toronto event sponsors which include Canadian financial behemoths RBC Global Asset Management, BMO (Bank of Montreal), TMX Group (Toronto Stock Exchange & TSX Venture Exchange), Desjardins, among others, asking “Do CFA members audit these companies?” The rhetorical question is surely to mock their ignorance regarding having the financial master fraudster Browder as a key spokesperson to their event.
Bill Browder’s critics are certainly not limited to Komisar and duPlessis, either.
4. Politicking our Canadian MPs for war profits
It’s no secret that politicians from all around the world get lobbied, influenced, bribed, coerced, aligned, or else incentivised to cater to whomever will get their attention and support.
This is no different in our Canadian political landscape and has been the case since its inception.
One historical example is that of the extent to which a large part of anglophone communities in Canada had pledged loyalty to the British Crown. We use to call them “loyalists”. Though most would think of these allegiances as far removed from modern times, they are mistaken. For, such alliances have persisted over the centuries and remain omnipresent in global affairs and foreign policy.
With our closeness to the United States of America and to Great Britain, along with NATO, the Anglo-American empire is still very much alive and well.
Corporate interests abound, which include notable actors such as those in the military-industrial/security complex as well as in high-finance and banking.
Canada is not only part of NATO, but is also a member of the Five Eyes intelligence apparatus along with the United States, Australia, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.
In this age of information warfare and deception, politicians can easily get duped and manipulated to carry out the bidding of those with real power.
Entire institutions can become subverted due to infiltration by bad actors. This has become quite apparent and amplified during the Covid-19 Pandemic, for many of our health institutions, professional and trade associations, have yielded their power to corporate and supranational interests.
Big Pharma alone has enjoyed an incredible stranglehold on our health care apparatus which has resulted in devastating consequences for Canadians.
Trade associations no longer defend the rights of their adherents, but have rather become weaponised to punish them for not towing certain lines. We have had many instances of this whereby medical practitioners and nurses have lost employment for merely wanting to exercise their professions in the best interest of their patients.
Of course, greed – the pursuit of the almighty buck – figures among the principal drivers behind these takeovers. And none are more lucrative to these parasitical entities than war.
Whether they are knowingly or ignorantly serving these interests, many of our Canadian politicians are much too obliging and are thus putting the future of Canadians’ well-being at risk and in danger. They are either carelessly ignorant or unswervingly complicit in allowing the subversion of our institutions to the hands of foreign actors with nefarious intentions.
While these assertions may appear, at prima facie, as pure conjecture to the reader, they are not. Just look at all the billions that have been spent and wasted in the last several years through mediocre choices, policies, and programs.
The Russia-Ukraine War is a prime example of the folly that our elected leaders – no matter which political stripe they belong to – have been all too willing to cater to.
Over $5 billion has already been spent on this far away war which should be none of Canada’s business. And our leaders, including Chrystia Freeland and Melanie Joly, are pledging unlimited funds and weaponry to support this war racket.
Are these moves in the best interest of Canadians?
Or, are they in the interest of those who will gain from it?
Cui bono? (Who benefits?)
How have these decisions been made to entangled us into this war, who had decided so, and what will be the consequences going forward? Moreover, when will it end?
The end, unfortunately, appears nowhere in sight.
We have all witnessed the debacles of war in Afghanistan, Iraq, Vietnam, Syria, Yemen, and so on. These have been protracted wars that have greatly benefited the military-industrial/security complex with the United States and NATO figuring among its top benefactors.
Though, in this Anglo-American Empire, we are tightly knitted with these “allies” in the United States and the United Kingdom, in particular, how does Canada’s involvement in these never-ending perpetual wars benefit us? How does our involvement benefit you?
Why are our politicians ignoring our pleas to be removed from these follies?
Whether they willingly submit to these endeavours, or are bribed/coerced/incentivized to do so, we as citizens must hold them to account and to a higher standard of morality and duty.
How do we do that?
By exposing their true colors and revealing who they are serving and are subservient to and how they are selling us out.
With that introductory preface out of the way for this section, what follows are the answers to some of these important questions.
So how exactly are our politicians being politicked for war profits and who are the key players involved?
To answer these, this author will focus on three politicians in particular, for they are the ones that are carelessly and undutifully facilitating the damage. They are Chrystia Freeland, Melanie Joly, and Anita Anand.
Chrystia Freeland
Chrystia Freeland is an extremely powerful politician in Canada. She previously served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs (from 2017 to 2019) and is the current Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance. In these two roles, she is highly influential in the Prime Minister’s Cabinet with agenda setting and other powers, and she also has great say in how the finances of our nation are allocated and earmarked.
In the execution of her duties over the past several years, she has clearly demonstrated that her loyalties don’t necessarily align with those of struggling Canadians, but are rather rooted to serve outside interests as well as personal ones.
Outside interests include those that figure among the initiatives of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for which she is a Board of Trustees member; this is in clear violation of Conflict of Interests laws in our country (or at the very least, the spirit of the law), and for which our so-called Ethics Commissioner has cowardly turned a blind eye to this blatant malfeasance.
The destructive agendas and initiatives of the WEF include those of pushing for so-called “Climate Change” policies which come at a devastating cost to Canadians, pursuing the war folly in the Ukraine, among many others such as “woke” endeavours and Digital IDs.
Freeland also has personal conflicts of interests with regards to the war in Ukraine, for she is of Ukrainian descent, has a deep affection for the country, and owns a residential property in the country.
Apart from the staggering $140 billion per year until the year 2050 she is asking in Carbon Taxes (to be levied on Canadian individuals and businesses) to combat “Climate Change”, the additional billions in cash and weaponry to support a very corrupt Ukrainian regime which figure atop her list should be of grave concern to all Canadians.
While she is no longer Minister of Foreign Affairs, she still uses her position as Deputy PM to promote these costly war endeavours.
She has already done so through the introduction of legislation to amend the laws mentioned earlier in this exposition.
Freeland has been central to shaping these laws, as a subservient pawn in the greater war racket.
Last year, Freeland sponsored Bill C-19 which quickly passed and was tailored to amend the aforementioned infamous Justice for Victims of Corrupt Foreign Officials Act (Sergei Magnitsky Law).
Among other things, this amendment allows for the seizure and forfeiture of assets, as was outlined earlier.
C-19 highlights via https://www.parl.ca/LegisInfo/en/bills?keywords=Sergei%20Magnitsky%20Law
What is particularly worth noting here is her connection to Bill Browder which precedes C-19.
In fact, she is a friend of Browder and was thanked by Bill Browder back in late 2019 for “making the Canadian Magnistky Act” happen:
Bill Browder’s tweet thanking Chrystia Freeland for “making the Canadian Magnistky Act” happen.
It is important to recall that Bill Browder was the person responsible for getting the Magnitsky Act passed in the U.S.
Bill Browder with Chrystia Freeland. Image from a 2019 tweet from Bill Browder’s Twitter account.
More recently, Browder congratulated Canada on having pursued the seizure and forfeiture, thanks to C-19, of Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich.
Bill Browder’s tweet noting the seizure of assets due to the new law and thanking both Chrystia Freeland and Melanie Joly.
Let the reader notice who Browder tagged in his Dec. 19, 2022 tweet, namely Chrystia Freeland and Melanie Joly, Canada’s Foreign Affairs Minister who was instrumental in helping to enact this controversial and dubious legislation.
Many other tweets from Bill Browder directed towards Chrystia Freeland exist which must also be considered.
While the astute reader may, correctly, observe that by merely being acquainted with the notorious fraudster Bill Browder wouldn’t necessarily prove that Freeland is compromised by his wishes, it nevertheless remains quite evident that her actions have led to exactly what the cunning financier has been aiming for.
Melanie Joly
As Minister of Foreign Affairs, Melanie Joly, holds a significant amount of power when it comes to Canada’s involvement in the Russia-Ukraine War.
In recent months, Joly has demonstrated a particularly tough and pro-Ukrainian stance on the war.
Here involvement in weaponizing the asset seizure and forfeiture laws to go after Russian oligarchs’ assets – regardless of whether or not they were involved in any matters to the conflict – showcases her subservient alignment with the Western War Machine that is led by the United States, NATO, and the United Kingdom.
Last month, Joly gave a press conference with her British counterpart, James Cleverly who is the U.K. Foreign Secretary, a staunch Russophobe, on the Russia-Ukraine War, among other topics.
In their press briefing, they re-asserted the joint values between Canada and the U.K., further promising to uphold the West’s “rules based order” (which is code word for maintaining American hegemony through military might) and unswerving support for the Ukraine, both financially and militarily, promising more hardware such as missile-defense-systems.
Both Cleverly and Joly have boasted the training of troops by their countries’ respective armed forces in the Ukraine.
What Joly failed to mention, however, is that Canada has been training units in the Ukraine such as the Azov Battalion which are sympathetic to Nazi ideology.
As reported in a previous article, this author has contacted the Canadian Armed Forces for comment on the matter for which they gave an official response that they do not vet the units which they train in the Ukraine (other than nonchalantly having our Canadian troops try to spot Nazi-related badges on the uniforms of those they train).
On a personal note, this author find this stance morally and ethically reprehensible, for it carelessly nullifies and ridicules the great sacrifices by our veterans and fallen soldiers who fought so valiantly during the Second World War to rid the world of such hateful and destructive ideology.
Are these the current values that our Canadian Armed Forces strive for?
In the press briefing, Joly stressed the following in an aggressive tone:
“We will continue to suffocate the Russian regime with coordinated sanctions and we will continue to counter Russian lies with facts.”
Isn’t it convenient that everything coming out of the Russian side are “lies”, “disinformation”, and propaganda?
As per the way these ill-informed officials talk, the Ukrainians never tell lies, nor provide disinformation, nor commit foul play. Ever.
This is an absurd myth.
This author has extensively demonstrated via a highly-cited and referenced 40-page exposé that the Ukrainian side is one that is extremely corrupt and is the perpetrator of many atrocities and human rights violations against its own citizens in the eastern part of their country.
This is not conjecture, for it has been fully documented by our “ally”, the United States, in their 2001 report titled UKRAINE 2021 HUMAN RIGHTS REPORT.
As per the official U.S. State Department report these human rights violations include, but are not limited to the following (verbatim):
unlawful or arbitrary killings, including extrajudicial killings by the government or its agents
torture and cases of cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment of detainees by law enforcement personnel
harsh and life-threatening prison conditions
arbitrary arrest or detention
serious restrictions on free expression and media, including violence or threats of violence against journalists, unjustified arrests or prosecutions of journalists, and censorship
refoulement of refugees to a country where they would face a threat to their life or freedom
serious acts of government corruption
lack of investigation of and accountability for gender-based violence
crimes, violence, or threats of violence motivated by anti-Semitism
crimes involving violence or threats of violence targeting persons with disabilities, members of ethnic minority groups, and lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or intersex persons
the existence of the worst forms of child labor
With what has been presented above, how is this not a double-standard?
While Russia is also guilty committing such atrocities, why hasn’t there been any denouncement whatsoever of these documented human rights violations committed by the Ukraine?
Are the lives and well-being of Ukrainian citizens in the eastern part of the country not the same as those in the western part of the country?
The hypocrisy is undeniably abhorrent.
Moreover, since many of the sanctions placed on Russian individuals and entities are predicated upon “human rights violations”, why hasn’t there been any sanctions imposed on any of the Ukrainian parties involved in these violations?
Or, alternately, why hasn’t there been any investigation or due diligence performed by Global Affairs Canada regarding these human rights violations, as reported by our ally, the United States?
This journalist has written twice to Global Affairs Canada posing this very questions, but has been completely ignored.
Furthermore, it has been well documented, even by the Ukrainian press, that funds that have been sent to the Ukraine (by Canada, the United States, and other countries) have been skimmed for personal enrichment by high level officials in the Ukrainian Military as well as by members of Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s own Cabinet.
Our Canadian tax dollars are being sent to the Ukraine whereby their corrupt officials are lining their pockets, driving sports cars, and sitting comfy in luxurious homes while their citizens suffer the ravages of war.
Are you outraged yet?
Anita Anand
Meet our Minister of National Defence, the Honourable Anita Anand, MP.
Anand who assumed her post on October 26, 2021, is a trained lawyer, has a grand total of zero days spent in any branch of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF).
This author has contacted the Department of National Defence which supports the CAF for an inquiry regarding Minister Anand’s military-related experience, but has yet to receive a response.
One would think that occupying such a position of critical importance as that of Defence Minister would at least entail some experience regarding military knowledge and affairs, so as to keep our country safe, including those serving in the armed forces.
In mid-January of this year, Anand wrote an op-ed in the National Post titled Canada will stand with Ukraine as long as it takes to win freedom, essentially pledging unlimited funds for “as long as it takes” for the Ukraine to win the war, also stating:
“Over the past 12 months, Canada has spent over $5 billion in aid for Ukraine — including arms and military equipment, ammunition and artillery shells, vehicles and training, as well as humanitarian and economic assistance.”
Should this Russia-Ukraine War continue to escalate, which is what appears to be the ugly reality, how long before Canadian troops find their way to Russia’s border for the slaughter?
How many more billions of dollars and depletions of our military hardware will Canada have to forego to protect Chrystia Freeland’s motherland and to continue to support its corrupt regime?
Tragically, what we find ourselves with is a contingent of a handful of individuals – these three women in particular – in critical positions of power who appear highly malleable, and all too obliging to serve the interests of the likes of Bill Bowder, James Cleverly, Jens Stoltenberg, and a slew of other warmongers who steadfastly pursue aggrandizing this and other wars to their selfish or nonsensical benefit.
5. Grand Deception: more on The Browder Hoax & the U.K.’s role in the Ukraine conflict
The importance of Bill Browder’s role in this war and the manner in which he influenced Canada’s legislature must be appended, for it further establishes the manner in which some of our Canadian politicians have been duped and manipulated to create dangerous legal mechanisms that will have dire consequences, including for possible sanctions against Canadian citizens and entities.
Journalist and author Alex Krainer has published no less than three books on Bill Browder’s colossal deception to antagonize and vilify Russia, and Vladimir Putin in particular.
The three books in question are as follows:
The Killing of William Browder: Deconstructing Bill Browder's Dangerous Deception, first published August 14, 2017;
Grand Deception: The Truth About Bill Browder, the Magnitsky Act and Anti-Russian Sanctions, paperback, first published July 1, 2018;
Grand Deception: The Browder Hoax, eBook, published September 18, 2018
Delving into these three texts is well beyond the scope of this post. But, the description of the first summarises the gist of the matter [with link added to Browder’s own book]:
“In 2015, former hedge fund manager Bill Browder published “Red Notice” - purportedly a true story about his experience in Russia between 1996 and 2005. Upon closer scrutiny however, his story doesn’t add up and demonstrably fails to stand up in a court of law. Nonetheless, on the dubious strength of that story, Browder has been able to lobby the U.S. Congress to pass the Magnitsky Act in 2012 which needlessly damaged the relations between the U.S. and Russia.”
In a recent, February 3, 2023 Substack post, Alex Krainer further outlines the role that the United Kingdom, and particularly its recent Prime Minister Boris Johnson, have played in this conflict along with that of NATO.
Early in the article, he provides ample evidence about how the U.K. has been a driving force not only in this Russia-Ukraine conflict, but also in his exposition of no less than 83 military interventions in 47 nations since the end of the WWII, as per a DECLASSIFIED UK report.
Krainer also outlines how former U.K. PM Boris Johnson sabotaged peace talks between Putin and Zelenskyy that could have possibly eased tensions and brought an end to the war.
The British establishment, however, would never allow that to happen.
“But according to Ukrainska Pravda, Boris Johnson appeared in Kiev on 9 April [2022], almost without warning bringing two messages: (1) Vladimir Putin is a war criminal and he should be pressured, not negotiated with; (2) Even if Ukraine is ready to sign some agreements with Putin, they are not (“they,” presumably meaning his government, or whoever had sent him to Kiev).”
Photo of Boris Johnson and Volodymyr Zelenskyy, April 2022. Image source: Ukrainska Pravda.
Further, former PM Boris Johnson flew to the United States this late January to meet with key Republican leaders in Congress and urge for “Western unity and support for Ukraine and what more can be done against the threat Russia poses.”
While in the U.S., Johnson participated in an Atlantic Council (a think tank and unofficial pro-NATO mouthpiece) event whereby he called for equipping Ukraine with “the stuff they need,” such as long-range missile systems, more armored vehicles, and fighter planes.
Boris Johnson is, like former PM Tony Blair, an avid war hawk that intends to personally profit from the Anglo-American War Machine’s war endeavours, having no desire whatsoever to for peace in the Ukraine, or elsewhere for that matter.
6. Canada is being pulled deeper into this war
It has already been demonstrated that this broader conflict with Russia in the Ukraine has been instigated by the United States and NATO.
It will, once again, be evidenced that the U.S. and its key actors, including former Senator John McCain and current President Joe Biden, are greatly responsible for having stirred up this monumental war folly – even before the February, 2022 invasion with a nuclear superpower that is the Russian federation.
We must now recall that it was John McCain that was instrumental in getting the Magnitsky Act passed in the U.S. for his buddy Bill Browder.
Back in late 2013, John McCain set the groundwork for the eventual U.S.-led Maidan Coup to get rid of democratically-elected Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych who at the time was leading to a rapprochement with Putin which was unacceptable to the American Empire.
U.S. Senator John McCain addressing a crowd in Kiev on December 15, 2013. Photo source: Wikimedia Commons / U.S. Senate/Office of Chris Murphy via Consortium news.
After the Maidan Coup took place in 2014 which replaced Yanukovych with Western-friendly Ukrainian oligarch Petro Poroshenko, the United States’ commitment became evermore unswerving, for their desire to further counter Russia and back them into a corner was of primordial importance to preserve the hegemonic posture of the American Empire.
Putin was to be defeated at all cost.
In 2016, senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham (another fervent war hawk) encouraged Ukrainian forces to attack the Russians in 2016 and promised them they would fight for more U.S. military aid to do so.
The following video can serve as evidence to this claim, for you can see the pair of senators addressing the Ukrainian military alongside their new puppet, Petro Poroshenko (alternate link via Rumble in case YouTube memory-holes it).
And, as reported by journalist Michael Tracy on Feb. 8, 2023, not only was a street in Kyiv renamed John McCain, but days after his visit the war hawk and former POW (prisoner of war) delivered a speech at the Atlantic Council – which is a U.S.-based think tank and unofficial mouthpiece for NATO – in which he declared that the U.S. must be ready to support "the institution of a technocratic government" in Ukraine. In other words, to install their desired vassal government – which they did.
The rest, they say, is history.
For, not only has McCain been instrumental in passing the Magnitsky Act in 2012 (which was based on the lies and fraud of Bill Browder) which serves as a powerful form of economic warfare against Russia, but he was also of service in laying the groundwork for yet another destructive war endeavour that would leave hundreds of thousands dead and immeasurable destruction to the former Soviet Republic.
To be more specific, it is estimated that Ukrainian military and civil deaths could be as high as 257,000, according to Col. Douglas Macgregor (U.S. Army, retired).
Why did this author brazenly imply that U.S. President Joe Biden was just as culpable as John McCain? Well, because he clearly stated before the actual invasion that the Nord Stream pipeline would be blown up should Russia invade the Ukraine.
We know that last September, this critically important underwater pipeline originating from Russia provided gas to Germany was sabotaged and exploded.

It must be emphasised once more, U.S. President Joe Biden promised the elimination of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline at a February 7, 2022, press conference alongside Germany’s Chancellor Olaf Sholz, verbatim:
“If Russia invades, uh, that means tanks or troops crossing the border of Ukraine again, then uh, there will be no longer be a Nord Stream 2 [pipeline]. We will bring an end to it.”
When asked a follow-up question by the German Reuters reporter about how he would do so, given that the [Nord Stream 2 pipeline] project was under Germany’s control, Biden responded “We will, uh, I promise you we will be able to do it.”
In his first ever Substack post titled How America Took Out The Nord Stream Pipeline from February 8, 2023, acclaimed journalist Seymour Hirsh outlined how the United States executed the highly-secretive covert sea operation.
Without going into too much detail of the star reporter’s exposé, it must be noted that the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and NATO were central to this operation.
Seymour Hirsh is no amateur; as far back as 1969, he broke a story about a unit of American soldiers in Vietnam who had committed a horrific war crime. He was also one of the first reporters to publish stories about the torture of Iraqi prisoners at Abu Ghraib back in 2004, His reputation as a seasoned investigative journalist speaks for itself.
The CIA has long been involved in covert war operations, as has been reported by former insider, ex-CIA Agent Kevin Shipp.
To illustrate this through a couple of examples, first, the CIA was involved in Operation Northwoods (the Cuban Missile Crisis) in 1962 which was a false flag operation against Cuba originating from the U.S. Dept. of Defense calling upon the CIA and other U.S. government operatives to commit acts of terrorism against American civilians and military targets in Guantanamo (Cuba) and blame them on the Cuban government which would serve as a justification for war against the Caribbean island nation. Second, according to Shipp, in Operation Paperclip, the CIA created false files on Nazi criminals to make it look like they had no connection to the Third Reich and then presented them to President Truman. These Nazi scientists then proceeded to do experiments within the United States.
There are countless other examples of the intelligence agency being used as a covert facilitator to the various government overthrows, conflicts, and wars around the globe; but, suffice it to say that these are extremely bad actors that have no interest in peace.
Returning to his highly-revealing Substack piece, Seymour Hirsh made reference to a source that showed concern if ever the plot to sabotage the pipeline were to come out [emphasis added]:
“Throughout “all of this scheming,” the source said, “some working guys in the CIA and the State Department were saying, ‘Don’t do this. It’s stupid and will be a political nightmare if it comes out.’””
Well, guess what? As this emerging bombshell is making its way to both the alternative (and mainstream?) media, the United States will have a lot of explaining to do.
It must also be emphasised that German people have suffered greatly in this present conflict due to a significant portion of their natural gas from Russia being cut off. While their Chancellor Sholz was most likely aware of the plot, how will he and his government publicly respond to this damaging revelation?
And the greater question is, will Germany persist their pro-American and pro-NATO stance in this foolish war?
What can they possibly have to gain from it?
Will they remain a subservient U.S. puppet as former editor of the German editor and journalist of Germany’s Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung once said? Or, will they regain some sense of sanity and extricate themselves from this madness?
How will other European and NATO vassals publicly justify being part of this devious, destructive scheme?
The last point this author wishes to emphasize here is that NATO, an organisation that was created just after WWII to supposedly promote peace in Europe, has absolutely no intention whatsoever on pacifying the conflict between Russia and the Ukraine.
The reasons are many, including financial ones along with their subservience to the American Empire.
But what really needs to be retained here is that this nefarious outfit, of which Canada is a proud member, will employ all means at its disposal to prolong this war and continue to vilify Russia rather than allowing a multi-polar world.
They will continue to enthrall member countries to send unlimited financial support and ever-increasingly dangerous weaponry to the very corrupt U.S. vassal state that is the Ukraine.
In a previous post, I highlighted that Jens Stoltenberg (the current Secretary-General of NATO), really had no sincere intention on fostering any kind of peace in the Ukraine, but rather calls for increasing military support for the Eastern European country that has already suffered immensely. Verbatim, here is what Stoltenberg stated at the recent WEF Davos 2023 panel discussion (inappropriately called “Restoring Security and Peace”):
“We need to provide military support to Ukraine. That’s the only way.”
Oh really? That is the only way Mr. Secretary-General? Have you never heard of diplomatic talks?
What a bloody fool!
“Weapons, they are the way to peace,” he added before emphasizing that the main priority is to provide the Ukraine with more advanced weapons.

Shoulder-to-shoulder with our Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland, Stoltenberg also thanked Canada for contributing 200 armored vehicles. “Ukraine will become a member of NATO,” added Stoltenberg.
Such kinetic warfare tactics are not the only ones being employed by NATO, for they have created a fifth operational domain (the first four being air, land, sea, space) – cyber – which they use with great success to propagandise and brainwash the masses around the globe, particularly on social media, for supporting their war folly.
Cognitive warfare integrates cyber, information, psychological, and social engineering capabilities to achieve its ends. Image source: Root Info Solutions via NATO Review Countering cognitive warfare: awareness and resilience, Johns Hopkins University & Imperial College London, 20 May 2021.
On a side note, let the reader observe the two key players mentioned in the image caption above, namely Johns Hopkins University and the Imperial College London, who just happened to be the key actors involved in developing models which lead to the lockdowns during the Covid-19 Pandemic. But hey, that’s probably just a crazy conspiracy theory and their involvement with the World Economic Forum and NATO has to just be purely coincidental.
7. Conclusion, A path for change and peace
As this post has already been quite long and is breaching the 25-page mark, the concluding remarks will be brief.
Canada’s involvement in the Russia-Ukraine War will have to count as one of its gravest blunders in the history of our nation, should it persist any longer.
With the help of three extremely ignorant, careless, and self-serving politicians in positions of great power, namely Chrystia Freeland, Melany Joly, and Anita Anand, Canada is now poised to be drawn further into this unwinnable, perpetual war that will end up costing us tens (hundreds?) of billions of dollars more which we can ill-afford to waste, not to mention the possibility of a more direct involvement in the military operations in this far away land against a nuclear superpower that has no intention on giving up.
And how long before Canada starts to vilify and antagonise the other nuclear superpower, China, using these same rhetorical, legislative, financial, and military weapons?
May God save us all, because the Queen, or King for that matter, won’t!
What can be done to end this madness?
Write, call, plea, and insist upon your elected officials at all levels of government to disengage their support for the Ukraine, its corrupt regime, and demand that they stop sending financial and military aid to its treasonous and pillaging puppet leader, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
To counter NATO and other bad actors’ propaganda, be sure to voice your opinion on social media and share resources found in this and other articles to counter the orgy of mis- and disinformation perpetrated by the stealth army of provocateurs.
Peace, above all.
God bless.
