Hi all. This is just a quick message to all those who have read my articles and have subscribed to my Substack.
I would like to sincerely thank you for your interest in my little corner, now called Dan Fournier’s Inconvenient Truths.
We’ve all been through a very transformative and enlightening 2022.
On a personal note, this is my full year back in Canada after having lived and worked in China for the previous 13 years.
When I arrived back in Canada late last year (in November of 2021) I was very depressed and discouraged as to the state of our nation amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Having lived and intimately experienced what is essentially a communist/socialist country, I immediately recognized too many of its negative attributes right here in the Great White North.
I was stunned.
I did not recognize my country anymore.
Citizens divided, the imposition of a medical tyranny, vaccine passports, illegally freezing citizens’ bank accounts, and much more left me bewildered.
I don’t want my child to grow up in such a depressive environment, but rather enjoy the joyful freedoms I have enjoyed in my youth and young adulthood.
Fortuitously and out of the blue, early this year the Trucker’s Freedom Convoy came along and permeated into something extraordinary.
There’s no doubt the Trucker’s Freedom Convoy was the biggest news story in Canada in 2022 for so many reasons. It amalgamated and encapsulated a lot that was ailing our country.
And it really gave me hope.
I knew that I had to somehow do my part to keep the flame of freedom alive.
And this is why I shifted careers into that of journalism, after a 35 stint in the education sector.
Though I am new in this line of work, I have learned a lot in a very short period of time thanks to the help of some generous souls and gifted people in the field.
I have been lucky enough to write for independent outlets such as The Counter Signal, GlobalResearch.ca, Activist Post, and Jim Quinn’s The Burning Platform.
Contributing more quality content going forward figures high amongst my priorities for 2023.
More specifically, I look forward to writing more investigatory works about Canadian affairs, holding our public servants to account while exposing any wrongdoings on their parts.
Truth is what matters most. And it is my utmost intention to shine the brightest light I can on it.
